What about using the standard ldlite views with the ancient -A ldraw
command line option? See the ldlite documentation of ldraw.txt for
details on -A. You can feed these to ldglite to quickly see which of
the standard views look good for a particular model, then press F12 to
get the L3P settings. Here are the standard ldglite views, which are
based on the standard ldlite views, which are based on the views
listed in ldraw.txt.
Front[] = "1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,1";
Back[] = "-1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,-1";
Left[] = "0,0,1,0,1,0,-1,0,0";
Right[] = "0,0,-1,0,1,0,1,0,0";
Above[] = "0,0,1,1,0,0,0,1,0";
Beneath[] = "0,0,1,-1,0,0,0,-1,0";
Oblique[] =
"0.707104,0,0.707104,0.353553,0.866025,-0.353553,-0.612372,0.5,0.612372";
char UpsideDown[] =
"0.707104,0,0.707104,-0.353553,-0.866025,0.353553,0.612372,-0.5,-0.612372";
char Natural[] =
"0.5,0,0.866025,0.433013,0.866025,-0.25,-0.75,0.5,0.433013";
I'm sure Larry has some really nice -A settings he could share with
us all as well.
