Nope, keep LDraw capitalized as-is. That's how James named it, that's how
it's copyrighted, that's the trademark, that's how it'll stay. End of story.
IMO, "Foundation" conjures up images of a non-profit institution (a plus)
which dabbles in charitable causes (maybe a plus). Is this imagry intended,
or should a more appropriate name than "The LDraw Foundation" be found?
From Webster's definition of "foundation":
3 a : funds given for the permanent support of an institution : ENDOWMENT b :
an organization or institution established by endowment with provision for
future maintenance
From www.dictionary.com's definition of "foundation":
4. A donation or legacy appropriated to support a charitable institution, and
constituting a permanent fund; endowment.
5. That which is founded, or established by endowment; an endowed institution
or charity.
If monetary proceeds go towards a reputable charity (cancer research, for
example), I would readily register the next five incarnations of LDraw. I
suspect others would, too.
Just throwing in my .02 yuan.
Cheers,
