I'm *sure* that LDraw is not on death row. I have faith that things will get
resolved. I'm sure part of the problem is that we have real lives, and
sometimes that gets in the way of LEGO.
Are you sure you cannot get along with an unofficial release for now?
I've given up on the onesy-twosey bringing down of unofficial parts, and just
bring them all down.

I do appreciate your "put your money where your mouth is" comment, because at
least you are thinking about it.
I was never quite sure we started the licensing thing in the first place. I
just wasn't sure what problem we were solving. The licensing was only to avoid
a potential problem in the future, that so far has not raised its ugly head.
I'm still not sure why we cannot just release a new official library, even with
the unlicensed parts. If after the release the original author(s) (whom we
cannot seem to find, or they don't care) wants to take back his or her work,
then we can deal with that then.

Reviewing parts does not take authoring skills, although I guess it might take
authoring knowledge.

I don't think that is going to happen.
