(I'll comment on other items later, but want to get this out ASAP.)

This is a question for both Orion and the LDraw part library admins.
If I write a program that splits all the concave quads in all existing official
parts into two triangles, would the admins accept the updated files as certified
without them having to go through the certification process again? (Someone
would likely have to at least spot check all of them to verify that my program
didn't contain any bugs.)
Orion, if this were done, would that remove your reservations?
Just to be clear, my program would ONLY change lines in the file that were
concave quads. All other lines in the file would be left unchanged, and files
with no concave quads would be left unchanged. The formatting of concave quad
lines would be lost, though, so the vertices in the triangles would not have any
extra spaces that may have been present in the original quads. The actual
vertex strings would be identical, though, not re-rounded in some possibly
different fashion.
