  Re: Parts Cataloging Program

(...) Which pics? The ones in the ldraw\vec directory? Or part-images in general? Png is a good format, but still not very widespread. LDAO reads bmp 10x faster than anything else, and doesn't recognize png. I usually do gif for web stuff, and (...) (25 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Set-posting protocol

(...) The best way IMHO to do this is to use a normal baseplate instead of the crater baseplate, leave the figs helmentless & use the non patterned versions for the patterned parts. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

Re: LDraw Add-On 2.1.2 Now Available

(...) I got the same two windows. Also, when I try to open the Minifig generator, LDAO crashes. Is there a way to deselect a file, for example if I want to start the minfig generator without a model? I like the tree-view of the directories a lot! (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Set-posting protocol

I've just finished reconstructing the first lego set I ever owned (set 6970) in .dat format... however, there are four parts in that set that don't seem to have dat files yet... those being: The crater baseplate (x2) The classic minifig space-helmet (...)   Re: "Glowing" Lights in POV-RAY (2nd attempt)

(...) This web server is currently having problems. I have reported it to the provider and they are working on it. If you have problems, please check again later. -Chuck (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: "Glowing" Lights in POV-RAY (2nd attempt)

Two things, First, I noticed that your ambient value for the glow color was 2.0. This promots to a color vector of <2.0,2.0,2.0> The largest legal color vector is <1.0,1.0,1.0>. I suggest you drop the ambient value to 1.0. Second, I noticed that you (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: "Glowing" Lights in POV-RAY (2nd attempt)

(...) A couple of things to try?--(dunno if these will work)-- - Put a point light source inside the 1x1 cylinder brick atop the staff and crank its luminosity up to (10,10,10). Then tweak that gradually downward since it'll probably be too bright. (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

"Glowing" Lights in POV-RAY (2nd attempt)

Howdy, y'all! A while back, I asked y'all for some help in making a "glow" in a rendered image ("(URL) took your suggestions and implemented them as best I could, and I've posted the results here: "(URL) still not quite satisfied with the results.   Re: New Part : Pirate Peg Leg

(...) I've not got a strong affection for "Minifig Leg Wooden", so am happy for this to get amended at the voting stage, if necessary. "Minifig Leg Pegleg" is fine too. Regarding cones, well yes I could have used four 1-4con4 primitives for the (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part : Pirate Peg Leg

Hi! OK, this is a really petty/minor nitpick, but I think that the first line should read "Minifig Leg Pegleg" (and not "Minifig Leg Wooden"). Also, if I may ask, why didn't you use any of the "cone" primitives? (I'm still learning this stuff (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New Part : Pirate Peg Leg  [DAT]

Here is the pirate peg leg. I am happy with the way it has turned out, but please let me know if you see any problems.   part number confirmation

Hi there I have here on my desk a part from the "rapid rider" of the rock raider series (can't remember the set number) it is also used as landing gear in various small helicopters, and have the shape of an "H" only with double connecting "bars". It (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Part on hold

I have been working on the large pneumatics cylinder, but it has been boring me for a while, and I don't need it right now, so I'll put it on the shelf for a while. If anyone wants to continue, I'll gladly hand over the little I have on it. (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
