*** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Travis Cobbs
LDView version 1.9.5 is now available, in both source and binary forms. You can download either from: (URL) main highlight of version 1.9.5 is: Added support for smooth shaded curves, using the presense of Type 5 lines as an indicator of a curved (...)         Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Damien Guichard
(...) Better than ever! I would have not believed LDView could have better graphics. But curve smoothing is such a tremendous quality improvement. Other remarks: * Documentation should warn about memory requirements of "Conditionnal Lines". LDView (...) (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Travis Cobbs
(...) Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm glad you like it. I looked at 30187c02.dat, but I didn't see any problems. What part of it is the wrong color? I'll take a look, and see about tracking down the problem and fixing it before the next (...) (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Damien Guichard
(...) The slowdown I experience with cond lines is unacceptable only when 200+ parts. But strangely disk-swap appears with only less than a dozen parts, wherease there is no when no cond lines. As a solution I just disable cond-lines. What is wrong (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Jaco van der Molen
OK, the strangest thing happened. I was happy LDViewing from the beginning version 1.0 and I love it. Then I upgraded to 1.9, 1.9.1, 1.9.2 and they all worked fine! Next I upgraded to 1.9.4 and that worked. Next came this version 1.9.5. It worked (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Travis Cobbs
(...) Well, this certainly sounds odd. I need some more information before I can even make any guesses. After the initial crash in 1.9.5, you say that it didn't work any more. What do you mean by this? Did it crash any time you ran it? Did it not (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Richard Marchetti
Okay, now I have to feel guilty about not having reported a similar problem some weeks back with what was probably the previous version. At the time I just wanted something to run, so I reinstalled what I knew to be a working version. I should have (...) (22 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Hi Lars, You are not alone: I also experience color bugs. I also experience GL_INVALID_ENUM before (only first) compile. I also sometimes experience no render. And, yes, LDView spinning a model is stunning! Damien (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I finally got to try it out and I'm quite jealous of the smoothing feature! I'm gonna have to borrow some of that code!          Antialiasing lines and printed polygons —Don Heyse
(...) Another nifty thing to do is to draw the printed polygons (type 3 and 4 lines in ldraw that don't use color 16) a second time in GL_LINE mode and antialias them along with the type 2 and type 5 edge lines. This gives you a nice cheap (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Martijn Zwaal
Hello, this is looking good. There are some glitches in the smoothing however ( the minifig arm is partially smoothed for example). There also seems to be a general problem when settings are changed. It looks like not al things are reset in some (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Travis Cobbs

Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.5 Released *** —Martijn Zwaal
Nice to see that everything is ok. Those arms need to be fixed anyway. In the mean time I tried to speed up rendering using the vertex array range and fences extension on a geforce3. This seems to be about as fast as display lists but uses less (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)
