Where I said "Java scripting" I meant JavaScript (and hence JScript being
Microsoft's version of it), although Java doesn't give me any
grief either (this is as a user, I've never programmed either). In
terms of enabling them in IE 5.x I was referring to both Java and
Jscripting being enabled. I admit I am foggy as to just how and where IE
differentiates between the two in their settings so I was aiming for a
blanket solution, all items containing "Java" and "Script" in my IE
settings are enabled.
I am downloading (very sloooooowly) Netscape Communicator 4.4 to see
what happens wrt the set reference pop-up and the JScript error and will
report back if it will assist!
