  Re: New Tauntaun MOC

(...) (2 URLs) (...) Dave, I'm so glad you posted this. I love it; its simple yet detailed enough to know exactly what it is. I even like the ingenious use of the pistols. Thanks for sharing it with us, as well as the LDRAW file in .models. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Star Wars related wallpaper

Travis, Nice! I really like the individual renders of the Tie-Pod. I had to poke around to get the link to work right from the Wallpapers page though. Did you use the POV radiosity feature? My jaw drops each time I see renders using it; some day (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: life size "LEGO" saber

There is always the low-tech, Lego solution: build your own. :) I've uploaded, to BrickShelf, a rendered version of the one that sat on my desk for a while - till I needed the parts for another project. I based it on the mini-fig lightsaber and it (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  New Elements on Factory?

I'm usually not on Factory/Pick-a-Brick, but have been this week. In just the past couple of days, it looks like they've made some changes to the train elements: Added Train Buffer 2 (Design ID: 64422, Category: Transportation Means, Trains) Prepack (...) Frank, I had the same issue, but as always there is a way around. If your using IE, right-click the picture and select "Save As...", choosing a location that you'll remember where you saved it too (I chose my desktop). Once its saved, use exploder (...)   Re: Inexpensive portability

(...) Rafe, I suggest looking on eBay for an old laptop. By old, I'm talking P100MHz w/ 32-64MB RAM; NQC doesn't require a lot of horse-power (I'm not sure about Bricxcc). For USB, you'll need something capable of running Win98 (P66MHz w/ 32MB (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

One of these days, I'll get around to building some modern war-birds. What did you use for the glass (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Please excuse the mis-use or lack of proper RR lingo, I'm still new to trains. Here in St. Louis we have the WF&P Rail Road ((URL) route goes along a river, some old railroad beds (I believe) and through some wooded areas, about a 30 minute (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

Paul, Wow! The whole display is fantastic. I really liked the snow scene. I'm hoping get over to Belleville soon (from St. Louis) and see this display for myself.   Re: Any Lego Places to Visit in St. Louis, MO ?

Conrad, I wouldn't say there is anything special Lego-wise here in St. Louis. We have the standard stores: Wal-Marts, K-Marts, Targets, TRUs, KB and three KB Outlets sprinkled here and there. Last weekend the KB at the South County Mall (I55 & I270) (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.mo.stl)

Lego Float in Macy's Thanksgiving Parade
