Re: has anyone every visited the Lego shop in Downtown Disney?

(...) I was just there last weekend. My fiancee and I have annual passes to the Disneyland Resort. The Store is ok. They had most of the current line up. including stuff that's usually SAH exclusive like guarded inns, the town legends (sorry can't (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

Who knows, maybe the quiet from Lego Direct has nothing to do with real or imagined friction from AFOL's, restrictive posting policies on LUGNET, pestering questions about the product lines and corporate policy, etc. I just figured they have been (...)   Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

(...) WOW... and then I wonder why Lego only post 'marketing-related' stuff here (lugnet). We (adults) can WORSE than the kids on FBTB. Over there when LD says it can't answer, the general felling is okay we understand. Here, if Lego doesn't answer (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

What Jim has stated was done so perfectly that it doesn't need any "me too"s, but here is my total agreement with his words anyway. And I think that the administrative reasons for creating this newsgroup and also limiting official TLC access to (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

I think LD are often silent for some fairly obvious reasons. Firstly, we LUGnetters don't seem to agree on too many things, so I don't think we send very clear messages about what we want to Lego Direct. Some people want more re-releases of Classic (...)   Re: Legends winner

(...) Allan, you are quite right that it isn't fair to give the participants to get a sneak peak at the future legends Lego Direct will bring out. It should be announced on Lego.com either first or at least at the same time as the event (Brickfest). (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Legends winner

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but whatever happened to the vote on the next 'Legends' set to be released by Lego? Did the yellow castle win? I follow a few groups on LUGNET closely but I have never heard anything more about (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: LEGOLand Germany

(...) Of course this has been discussed in hundreds and hundreds of postings.... But German AFOLs do this in the German Lego®-Newsboard, which of course is www.1000steine.de/forum/ (...)   Re: Why Isn't there a newsgroup for Launch Command, Alpha Team or Time Cruisers?

(...) Actually, I think it's because both of the subthemes mentioned are part of "Town." Yeah, I know. But apparently that's where they fit in TLC's hierarchy. Sort of like how .technic always got up in arms about Bionicle. "Legends" is a line, but (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jun-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Santa Fe Numbering

(...) Just another speculative theory: Maybe Brad just meant they took the first 5 ever produced engines out of the production, not the numbers 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004, 0005 (which would lead to the problem with the too big number of 10000.)   Re: Super Chief Weight Issues /possibly a quality issue of the ML?

(...) Dear Ahui, as written in the other answers more than 2 motors does not appear to be very helpful. 2 motors (with enough weight on their Back) should be able to pull up to over 100 waggons (has been testet)! So there are 3 aspects: the 4558 (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.trains)

  2002 Metroliner Fun

Well, to start off ... I finally broke down and bought a deluxe metroliner kit... Now I only need to buy a Breezeway Cafe and I'm Legends Complete. (as I also got a PizzaToGo on my last order). (...) I could not agree more. Well maybe a little more, but not much. :-) Well said, Jeff. Announcing at BrickFest (if it happens) will be a pleasant treat for us and will have zero impact on the mundanes as long as it gets up on lego.com soon. It's (...)
