(...) RIS 2.0 (...) jumper, (...) some (...) them!!]. I've seen the wall climber and the bungee jumper (well, I would have called it an abseiler) built with 1.0, so there is no need to wait for 2.0 to build them! Just buy more RCXes and start (...) (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Building a peripheral bus from motor output

Hi all, I recently read an excellent paper by Fred Martin (of MIT fame) on building toys in a modular fashion. His microcontroller was similar to the RCX but had one key addition - a two wire serial bus so that active peripherals could be attached (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) Thanks. The removeable roof idea was actually borrowed from a friend of mine. The moveable wall idea didn't hit me until after I rebuilt the first house to add windows.   Re: 12v Trains

(...) Radio Shack has a nice stepup transformer which is basically a wall wart. The only unfortunate thing about it is that it only has one euro plug, but I think it does have enough capacity to run two controllers. It was a bit pricy ($32 or so). (...)
