Thanks. The removeable roof idea was actually borrowed from a friend of
mine. The moveable wall idea didn't hit me until after I rebuilt the first
house to add windows. I used a small black plate hinge, because I didn't have
any in tan or brown... LEGO really needs to make hinges in other earth-colors,
other than gray & dark gray. I also realized they need to make a 1x3 tile, or
start making more 1x1 tiles in other colors. ...Or it could be argued that I
need to change my design to not need a 1 x 3 tile... ;)

They'll be there. And yes, I need to furnish them. There is a slight design
flaw that didn't hit me until finishing the second house -- the chimney was
Erika's touch -- but if you look at the way it's positioned, the flue would
cover up the window. In the next one, I want to build a proper chimney, with
the window being offset to one side... Or as other people in the group have
done, put the flue on the outside of the building...
I really need a book on medieval buildings!
