(...) Larry, You are correct. 2finger/3finger 1x2 plate hinges. One cross brace is in front of the other. (...) I would have preferred to do in Dark Gray but I don't have that many Dark Gray or Light Gray brick to compete a model of this size. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Castle structure advice...

I like the "technic pins" approach. In my as yet unfinished, and shelved for some 17 months now, massive grey station project, I used these. The station splits into three pieces along carefully planned fault lines. These lines run up the window (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

(...) Todd and Joshua D. have an amazing number inventoried, between them. At least that's my suspicion. It's convincing them to make the data available in a format I can run reverse queries against that is the hard part. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Using NQC with Scout

It appears that the download protocol and control structure bytecodes are identical between the RCX and Scout. This means that NQC can be used as-is to generate some Scout code. There are a few caveats, however... 1) You'll need to put the Scout (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Coal Process Plant

(...) I'm betting 2finger/3finger 1x2 plate hinges. One cross brace seems in front of the other. The way I did the GMLTC coaling station uses those bracing rods (in red in the newer shuttle pad) for this. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Process Plant

PS, that blue and white engine says MP15AC to me for some reason... It's not quite an SW. PPS you need bigger hoppers. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Process Plant

This says Kentucky/West Virginia to me in a major way. Very nice. Why black, though? Dark or light grey seems more the color. All you need is some triple rear axle dump truck with sideboard extenders hauling butt down a hill to dump into the tipple, (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  6082 Building Instructions

  Re: Help me!

(...) Richard - It's not at all accurate to represent those pieces as LEGO. They are most likely MegaBlok clones, any are probably somewhat compatable with LEGO.
