Do they have a waiting list? Someone else might drop out? It actually surprises me that they are full based on the show last year. There was a ton of open space last year. This is unfortunate as I heard back from my former co-worker that he and his son would be interested. I think the idea of forming a club still has merit even if we don't pursue the Winston-Salem date. If we went to WS we would probably have to spend (...) So, why not change it to blue or yellow or any other color. That way we keep the brick, but let Lego keep their red 2xN bricks. Would this work?? It surprises me too. But you should remember that the boxes for this set are very flimsy. Very few of these that I have seen can be described "mint". So perhaps it is worth it... if you need a box.
