Yes it does. As someone who personally spent almost an hour with the fine
TSA folks at the San Diego airport this past January I can state
emphatically that LEGO, particularly if it is loose bricks packed densely,
will look very odd (as in one big blob) going through the x-ray machine.
The fine TSA folks actually opened up several of my boxes before they were
certain that when said I was packing LEGO bricks I was really packing LEGO
bricks. YMMV but I'd alot some extra time when you fly. I fly a lot and
typically allow myself the absolute minimum amount of time for security but
in this case, I thought I might have a problem so I headed to the airport
early. I am glad I did, I needed it!
