I think your excellent APT nose profile would work
better on the 125. Did you try it?

The picture of the 125 at Reading you have is curious. If I didn't
know better, I'd say the loco is "between" paint jobs, as the
livery is a bit weird. Probably mid-80's. If you look at the coaches,
they have the 1980's "InterCity" livery, which is actually a very dark
grey with white and red stripes IIRC. The older livery was simply blue and
white, without any stripes as you have on your coaches. These colour
schemes were all pre-privatisation, at a time when BR didn't know what the
hell colour to paint their trains...

Incidently, your blue with red and white stripe livery actually
closely resembles Network South East livery!

I am trying to find a use for the 4559 nose elements-- not that I can actually build this IC 125 in real-bricks, for I know of no source for the 1x4x1.3 rounded bricks in light gray, blue, (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

| Lonely shapes sit in my box of train-specific parts. What to do with the train yellow nose and black cab parts from set 4559? They've sat so lonely for years. Well, still they sit unused, for this model is merely CAD-form for now. Now, for nothing (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
