Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Ben - It's nice to see another lovely engine from you again. This seems to be one of your most detailed yet. And it's something of a relief to see some steam trains on lugnet.   Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Dear Mattias, I heard from several former "top builders" around that their demand on their own creations is the biggest hurdle on the way to new MOCs.   Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Fantastic engine, Ben! I've been wanting to do one of these German (European?) style steam locomotovies for a while, but I've been putting it off for more American style designs I'm familiar with. The amount of detail you've put in is just (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Yes, I feel like I need to aim into the ashcan school direction..... My main inspiration comes from a German photographer named Harald Finster and a few visits of real plants (often already broken down more or less). Check out these links as (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Dear Ralph, I agree, that the Maerklin catalogue is in fact a very helpful instrument for any (LEGO) train fan. Nowadays the internet may substitute this a lot, but still it is hard to find such a nice collection of different style rolling (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)
