(...) Scott, sorry you couldn't make it. I didn't mean to sound like I was busting your chops or anything. I understand personal obligations.   Re: Kind of a streamliner

(...) Andreas, I'm not big into trains (aside from the traditional Christmas time around the tree one) but I really like the steamlining on this, I'd even call it art deco like. Thanks, George (18 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  LEGO Loco Networking?

Has anyone ever got the LEGO Loco game to work with networking? My son loves the game, and was so excited to try using it across 2 computers, but although I have tried to do it myself, searched the internet for info on it, searched Lugnet, I can't (...) (...) That's great! I'm not a trains builder, so I can't pass an official judgement on it, but I can say that I think that it's amazing! I love how the roof scoops in on the back. Good job all around! Jeffery MacEachern (4 URLs) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Kind of a streamliner

(...) Hi Andreas, This is beautiful. It is so retro-futuristic. I'm imagining that it is a fuel-cell powered passenger engine from the near future. I love your earlier train and this one is ever better. You're really tempting me back to the world of (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Kind of a streamliner

Hello, I would like to show my second engine, which I have designed. It was aimed to look a little bit oldfashioned. (URL) It does not follow any real model, since (to be honest) I do not have any idea about trains, except the fact, that they are (...)   Have fun in Philly, everyone!

I'm crazy jealous I can't be there this year, I had a great time in Cincinnati last year. I know you all will represent the Lego Train hobby well! Looking forward to seeing pictures! JohnG, GMLTC (18 years ago, 3-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: locomotive referance sites?

(...) Sometimes books are better than sites at giving real technical information. I recommend the Model Railroader Cyclopedia Volume 2 - Diesel Locomotives, ISBN 0-89024-547-9 at $37.95 (£25.00). I'll email you some info. I think it's worth (...) (18 years ago, 2-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: locomotive referance sites?

(...) This is a good site for side views of US locomotives at least. (URL) Although they don't have dimensions they are to scale so you should be able to work them out pretty easily. Tim (18 years ago, 1-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New RC Trains Are Posted on LEGO.COM

(...) I think you're reading too much into what's probably a translation from the original. It says 'remote control', not 'controller' anyway. 6 for the train, yes. I didn't see inside the remote of David's preview one, but 3 AAs giving you 4.5V (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New RC Trains Are Posted on LEGO.COM

(...) I think that's unlikely. More likely they'll just put the new parts on LEGO Factory so you can assemble your own track packs. Clearly, they still can't count how many curves it takes to rectify a point though. Jason R (18 years ago, 30-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LDD Signal Box for Save 9V Trains Contest (and John Neal)

(...) The reason that low sloped roof had little bobbles on the end instead of ridges all the way along the top was becaue I only ended up with two 2x2 33° ridges. I think it actually looks better like that. No ridges in LDD though. Jason R (18 years ago, 30-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
