I knew this would start a 6 vs. 8 debate... But that was not the goal of the initial post. The goal is to get some feedback on how this can be done in 6 wide. If there are no creative, cost effective solutions, then I will probably settle for a less (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

Yes again. 1) A 12v motor (without modification) WILL run on 9v if you put 9V on the center power pickups (this can be done by using the screw on connectors on a 9V power lead that you cut). (...) You can quite happily power the motor from the RCX without modification - just don't supply any other power to the track. This will also electrify the track, and power any other motors on it too though. If you break the connections to the (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.trains)
