Hi everyone, I just bought 4 packs of the Kanohi Mask packs (8530), and I noticed that I had some of the masks which were 'previously unavailable' because of the 'bad distribution problems'. I had the following ones - A light grey Kanohi Ruru - A beige Kanohi Matatu (Okay, they were available before but not in these colors) - A dark grey Kanohi Komau - A brown Kanohi Hau - An orange Kanohi Matatu - A green Kanohi Kaukau - An orange Kanohi Huna - A black Kanohi Pakari (The Kanohi Huna is an awesome mask and my current favorite) But this springs a little question: Are there supposed to be only 72 'standard masks' (as the bag says 72 + ?; 12 types in 6 colours) or 144 'standard masks'. It's because I have Kanohi Matatu in 'Tao colours' and in 'Turaga' colours, so are there 12 types of mask x 12 colors = 144 masks? Or are the Kanohi Matatu and Kanohi Ruru in 'Tao colours' 'misprints'? Oh yeah, I bought my packs in a store in Wijnegem, Belgium. I noticed that they were the only toy store in the neigbourhood who weren't sold out of Bionicle stuff, and they seemed pretty well restocked... I might just visit it tomorrow again ^_- Well, hopefully the 'bad distribution' problems are finally over. Have fun! Carl

For once I count myself lucky to be in America where everything comes out last. By the time we can buy the masks everything should be sorted out, including these "color misprints". (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Hi Carl, so, what about the colours of the heads themselves? Were they all light grey in these packs? Accoring to the boxes, the Turaga heads should be in their six individual colours (e.g. Vakama #8540 having a red head behind is orange mask) (...) (...) Okay, I have a new theory. If you go to the mask pages at bionicle.com, the Great Masks of Power (Toa Kanohi) must be collected by the Toa and each have he six little boxes of the Toa colors. The Noble Masks of Power (Turaga Kanohi) can be worn by (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
