I'm a think first, act later person. Meaning I think out a solution
and go for it. If it fails at first I give it another go until it
works. If it later turns out not to work... Well...

Since I got my digital camera I prefer taking a couple of extra

Oh yes, the sweet feeling when one conquers the challenges at hand is
well worth it.
Though my beloved g/f has learned not to appear and make me loose
focus when things don't work as planned :) She's too sweet!
