Nice one! How did you get the idea for this? It really is quite cunning - I
am looking forward to seeing this applied in a model. Would I be right in

crab mode having all wheels at the same angle, but the coordinated having
the wheels at lesser angles as they get nearer the centre of turning? I
think you could do this by using curves, as you mention, with the same
curvature on each axle for the "open I" link section used for crab mode, but
for the inner axles, which are steered less, the curve would bend inwards
more than the curve used for the outer axles, creating less movement on link E.
Forgive me if I am waffling, it is rather late.

| Some more thoughts on this - Perhaps Link "C" could be replaced by a bush instead of a 3 hole half beam? If so, there is much more scope for curved guides - perhaps the non-studded beams with a bend in the middle could be used, or even some flex (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

| Jennifer, Waffling is OK!! I do it all the time!! The reason it should be curved is so that as you adjust the control, the output (link "E") doesn't move. That's why its radius should be exactly the length from "C" to "E". I agree, a bush would give (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
