  LEGO Table discussion

Here I sit on the floor in my (hopefully soon to be furnished) new place in Seattle. I have a nice long wall that I'd like to use for my LEGO and computer area. I used to use one of those white molded plastic folding tables that you can get at Sam's (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.storage, FTX)

(...) Try contacting Plano directly: (URL) can find a 'contact us' link on their website. I bought a bunch (over 100!) of their #3700 boxes from them several years ago, at quite a nice discount. JohnG, GMLTC (22 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Looking for Plano Boxes #5324

Hi folks- I'm trying to track down Plano Storage organizers, model #5324. It's a great organizer, with 24 compartments. I have a few, but the collection is growing enough that I need more. Lots of companies have the smaller Plano boxes, but none (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting your child's bricks

(...) My childhood collection reached just over 3,600 pieces, and for the last couple of years before my dark age, I kept them more or less sorted by colour. But I was fairly obsessive (when I say over 3,600 pieces, I mean 3,633). What I would (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting your child's bricks

(...) Along this same thinking, I would guess that precisely sorted bricks would be a hindrance to a child's true creativity. Unless the child chooses to sort the pieces themselves (as I did as a child) then I think young children should have access (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting your child's bricks

My collection is sorted very detailed by color and brick size but my six year old son prefers a bucket of mixed up bricks versus the sorted ones. I he likes to just start building with no real plan of what he's making unlike myself where I go into (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Sorting your child's bricks

I have a friend who is interested in sorting her son's collection. The boy is six and probably has about two thousand bricks. I know there are many threads discussing storage methods, but most of these are regarding an AFOL's perspective. Is sorting (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting tray suggestion.

Call me the resurrector of old threads. :D Just as a comment.. I just got a parts organizer like you use in the shop.   Re: cheap storage cabinets & bins at Wal-Mart

I bought six of a dark blue version of the same thing at my local Wal-Mart in Franklin, KY, and they quit selling them.   cheap storage cabinets & bins at Wal-Mart

Just today I saw a new small parts storage cabinet at Wal-Mart. It's one of those 39 clear-drawer ones (9 lower big drawers, 30 small upper drawers). It's a dark green, but is the same size as the light gray or black ones that you commonly see. The (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.storage)

  The opposite works for me

After purchasing LOTS of Iris drawer units and sorting my collection, I can't imagine going back to the Rubbermaid tubs and ziploc bags I had before.   Re: Should I Save the Boxes?

(...) I'm do the as you. I break down all the boxes that I can and store them flat. I really don't know why I keep them, as I never intend to sell my collection either.
