Call me the resurrector of old threads. :D

Just as a comment..

I just got a parts organizer like you use in the shop. With clear plastic
trays that come out and just pull out all the trays and line them up.  You
can see whats in each tray through the tray so its easy to group by type
depending on your personal sorting system. Plus you can just put them right
into your cabinet when your done! :)

Gotta find a more general solution for bulk or bulky parts where they wont
be stored in the drawers but generally if I have a ton of one part anyway I
pull them all out first anyway and move them to thier larger containers.

My only problem with using the drawer cabinets is that I work from two
different  levels height wise that sometimes I have to stoop to look in the
drawers and it hurts my back.  I'm thinking of bulding a lift arm system
where I could pul down the arm and lock it and it would raise my cabinets up
to height. Kind of like up periscope for stand building and down periscope
for sit building.

This is of course only for those of us that keep our parts collection
limited to 2 or 3 parts organizers plus bulk worth of parts. :) If you have
more parts then you know what to do with I have no compassion for you. :D

Hi!

I've read a lot of threads about what to use when sorting and/or building.

Most seem to favour the old plastic trays that came with larger sets.

I got another idea when I was doing some serious cleaning in the kitchen. • In
our drawers we have trays to keep the forks separated from the knives...

These trays are often;

1) Cheap
2) Sturdy
3) Has rounded corners for easy cleaning, great for small part pickin'
4) Easy availible at home decoration stores such as IKEA

Just a thought...

Best regards,
/Tobbe
