Good post, Eric. I agree with almost everything you said. I think it's
possible to over-analyze every movie.

What didn't make sense? That it's a big worm? That it lives in space?

Well, they -did- have a shield this time, and the Emperor "allowed" them
to make it onto the moon because he wanted to trap them. He just didn't
account for the Ewoks helping them out.

Yeah, I've often wondered why the Imperial pilots suck so much.
Stormtroopers, too... especially when Obi Wan says "Only Imperial
Stormtroopers are known to be so precise" in ANH... I always get a
chuckle from that.
