Sigh. My point is that, if the search for the MF were of paramount
importance, Vader could have kept his ship in the field and sent a
less-than-clear transmission; after all, the Emperor was able to contact
Vader's ship, so some communication was possible. The fact that Vader still
found it worthwhile to interrupt his search just to send a message suggests to
me that he placed greater emphasis on speaking with his Master than on finding
the MF.

Lighten up. I don't think "silly" is an especially scathing rebuke. If I'd
intended to injure or at least raise the stakes of this discussion, there are
plenty of other words I might have chosen, but that's obviously not what anyone
here was after.
