Do some of the Lego Battle Droids have ranks?  I know that there are certain colors
that signify that, but as far as the Droids included in the sets go, they are all
just grunts, right?  I don't have the Naboo Swamp, but I have a bunch of Battle
Droids from Naboo Fighter sets and assumed they were all the same.

(...) Assuming you don't want to paint your Lego, I replaced the tan 1x2 on their back with a yellow, red or blue 1x2 plate, giving an instant Command Officer, Security Droid or Pilot Droid. --Dave (24 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)
