On Thu, 27 May 1999 21:11:27 GMT, Mark Herzberg uttered the following
profundities...
I think Lost World was realsed on a Wednesday as well, though I'm not sure.

In lugnet.starwars, Huw Millington writes:
Sure, it set a record for the week, but why
didn't the actual weekend take make the record?

Because it was released on a Wednesday?

Huw

I understand over a holiday weekend, also, which should
make a difference.

A lot of people were evidently scared away, expecting
incredibly long queues. I purchased a seat for a 2145 showing,
at 1830, on opening night. There weren't many empty seats,
perhaps half a dozen or so, but no queues at all. The 2nd
time I'd seen it, on a Saturday, no empty seats noticeable.
The 3rd time I'd seen it, there were 2 dozen people there.
