Re: SW parts used in Life on Mars sets?

I've used lightsaber hilts on to of car engines and it looks like just another crome accent. Cheers Gary ---...--- (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What color do you think they will be was:(Re: New Stormtroopers)

(...) Actually, that cap is light gray - it's used on Gasgano<SP?> the all white bugger with the cool head on an "accessory piece" body.:) As I recall, it's the same as the one Anakin gets with the Naboo fighter (or is that one actually brown? I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: about chewie in the atst

(...) You don't think the fact that "STAR WARS" is plastered all over the sets would have anything to do with it, do you? :) I think that if parent joe saw "STAR WARS" on a set then they'd know it's probably popular, especially if their kid's a Lego (...)   Re: New Stormtroopers

(...) Granted, Lego probably won't do anything different than that (which is a good solution), though I'd still like to see something on the lines of the Falcon Han - with a low-slung holster/utility belt printed on the legs. Also, wasn't he wearing (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: about chewie in the atst

(...) Stormtroopers are a very recognizable part of the SW universe - I'd say that stormtroopers have good recognition among non-SW fans and casual observers. If the Tie set just had the Tie Pilot, then joe-parent might just not recognize anything (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  MF inventory?

I am considering buying a Falcon, and I would like to know how many big plates are in it. I would appreciate it if some one could tell me how many 6xn and 4xn (larger than 4x6) there are. Any help is greatly appreciated. --D M Garcia "An expert (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Interesting Copyright Bits

(...) Here's another real-life adventure in the realm of copyright names. When the Olympic games were courted for an appearance here in Seattle, they explained that no business in the area could use the term "Olympic" in it's name whlie they were (...)   Re: Interesting Copyright Bits

(...) that'll be news to some people here in Canada. Imperial Oil I'm sure will be interested to know that Lucas is trying to squeeze them out of a name!   Re: about chewie in the atst

(...) I think you are looking at the emperor fig that comes with the Imperial Shuttle. His face is yellow. The TIE Fighter set comes with a black (full helmeted) TIE pilot and a white Stormtrooper. Look at the pic again. BEN GATRELLE (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: about chewie in the atst

  Interesting Copyright Bits

...Shades of "Murphy's Rules" from the old _Space Gamer_... Looking at the new catalogue (who's not?), it appears that Lucasfilm, Ltd., has trademarked the word "Imperial." This brings to mind the boardgame variant of "Indiana Jones" from days gone (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Stormtroopers

(...) You can already make a Bespin Luke. Take Luke's head and slap it on the body of the ground tech from the X-Wing set. The tech is wearing pilot's ground fatigues, and that's all Luke was wearing on Bespin. If and when Bespin sets come out, I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Stormtroopers

Re: about chewie in the atst

(...) If that's their marketing strategy, how do you explain the figs in the TIE Fighter set (Stormtrooper and TIE Pilot)? Assuming, of course, that the black blobby fig isn't Vader. eric (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Stormtroopers

(...) It *has* been the case with Star Wars. The only young Obi-Wan minifig is only in a $50 set. The only source (currently) for Princess Leia and C3P0 is the Millenium Falcon (a $100 set). If you discount the minifig collectors sets, then (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)
