  Re: What can we expect?

(...) I would love it if TLG made trans orange lightsabers! -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) NOOO...OOO! No crappy raised baseplate or burps. [to TLG] give me bricks or give me a new hobby. (read: lose the sale) -Lord Insanity (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) The Z-95 is an old ship that the X-Wing was based off. (so the story goes) It is highly propable that either Episode 2 or 3 (maybe both) will have Z-95s and R-41 Starchasers. If they make a Z-95 I hope the use the 6x4 rectancle canopy in smoke (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  SW Base Plates?

Hey, I noticed on the back of the A-Wing box (and other spaceship boxes) that the floor is made up of 1x2 grill plates and 1x2 smooth plates. The grill plates are backlit to look like floor lamps. I thought that since the grill plates are LEGO, (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

Knowing Lego, the Cloud Car will probably be a combination of red and orange parts. I'd rather it be red than orange, though, because the lego orange is kinda bright. But even if they make 'em orange, they'd still be cool. -John (...) chrome (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

I really like the idea of a cloud car and a sandcrawler, however; what color would the cloud car be? Is Lego orange accurate enough, it looks too bright to me. Secondly I don't think that Lego has the license to produce stuff from the expanded Star (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) I expect we'll see the TIE fighter soon, with a System AT-AT along with it, or soon thereafter, since the TIE pilot and AT-AT pilots wear nearly identical helmets, with the TIEs' being black and the AT-ATs' being in white. I would hope to see (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

In lugnet.starwars, Scott P. Costello writes: <snip> (...) The Blockade Runner and Troop Transport _could_ be made (with shrinking) about the same size and price as the Millennium Falcon, but I doubt anyone but hardcore fans would buy them, so there (...)   Re: What can we expect?

It appears that Lego is spreading it all out as much as possible so that they will have new material by the time the next movie opens. They will continue to release a few Ep. 1,4,5,6 this year and next year. Then, in 2002, the secret sets will start (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  $3-$4 set

My apologizes if this has been brought up already, but what does everyone think this could be? The SSG interview makes it sound as if this will happen next year. And I wouldn't look for any "EU" sets to come from LEGO - Hasbro regretted making the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) This is being done, under the rubric of the Mindstorms Dark Side Developer's Kit (I think that's the name). Scans/.jpgs of this already exist, as catalogues have begun to appear and the relevant toy shows have been held. Who knows when it'll (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

I think we'll also see: Lars Family speeder Cloud City Car Jawa Sandcrawler Swoop Bike (tried to do one of these myself but it didn't come out right) plus TLG would be smart to release a Z95 Headhunter... basically the same pieces as the X-Wing (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) Unlike other line-ups, LEGO will not discontinue SW sets after two years. In fact, don't be surprised if 7141 X-Wing or another set is still in the line-up until the contract is up. However, who says it only has to be vehicles? (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) That is an intersting question. Perhaps we will see Jabba's sail barge? That would be pretty big, but not so big it couldn't be made. A Sandcrawler might be made as well. As was suggested, some playsets may also be made. Perhaps the base on (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

(...) Good question, but I expect it next model year. :) (...) That would be really cool! (...) See above. :) (...) I hope so. Be interesting to see how it would be done by LEGO. How about all 3 ties in one set? Nah, I don't like that idea, too (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What can we expect?

Scott (Always neat to respond to people named Scott! :) ) (...) Any and all! :) (...) They could make a ton of money by doing buildings, set ups, hangers, etc. I would love to see a 100.00-150.00 set of the hanger bay of the Death Star or the Hoth (...)   What can we expect?

I have been seriously thinking about this; how many more classic vehicles can be made? Looking at the rebel vehicles, it appears that they have all been done. The only remaining vehicles are too big to make a mini-fig size vehicle, and not charge (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: And now Blue vs. Gray (was White vs. Gray in SW sets (was Re: Feelings over 2000 sets . . .)

I made a mini-fig scale Tie Bomber with parts from the Vader's Tie/Y set, the Sith infiltrator, Gungan sub, and anakin's pod. It's all gray, with some dark gray. I wanted to make it as much like how the Lego group would make an official one, so the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)
