  Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

OOKAAAY...I can see when I am beat. (oh for crying out loud....) Guys, go to brickshelf and check out Bram's entry for the non-voilent space moc contest, if you haven't seen it yet. He just finished it. WOW! I am simply beside myself with joy... I'm (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

(...) Good gravy. We'd seen in-progress shots from him, but the finished work is a masterpiece, yes. And I feel the exact same way when he builds something I was working on: on one hand I'm glad he can come up with such an inspirational design. On (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Uh, Bram has NOT sent this to me as an entry for the contest, and the deadline is today :-/ -paul (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

(...) Ya, that raises a good point. When you're checking out a 1000 piece MOC it's bound to be somewhat impressive if only because it's large. But a 100 piece MOC that makes you go wow is WAY more remarkable. Large is easy. Small is hard. ++Lar (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

(...) Hey Jon, you are going to post this baby on the Galactic Shipyard, right? My question is this: It's obviously well over the 80 stud limit, so is it a CAPITAL or a SUB-CAPITAL? hhhhmmmmm....INTERSETING QUESTION! :^) ~Trev (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

I guess it is all up to Bram and Jon to discuss... My "Valour" Advanced Gunship is barely 89 studs long, and it is classified as a gunship too, yet I still asked Jon to put it in the capital ship section. Why? Well probably because Jon set the (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

(...) <snip> Good point. And you're right - it's between Jon and Bram. But it's funny because this is essentially a pleasure transport/A to B plane. So does that classify it as a capital? So what classifies a capital anyway? I have an image in my (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Honestly guys regarding my site, pretty soon here I think there are just gonna be 2 categories for big ships: Big and Supa Phat Big. : ) I'm not that concerned about what the ships role is for these categories, if its big then nuff said. I'd like (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  RE: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

Hey Bram, I think Larry was focusing more on the statement "But a 100 piece MOC that makes you go wow is WAY more remarkable.".   Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane

(...) I think that to "qualify" for "Capital Ship" not only requires size and function, but also time. Your example of 747 vs aircraft carrier is a good one in this relationship. A 747 can stay aloft for about 12 hours - maybe a bit more - end of (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)
