What all has TLC done? —Patrick Leahy
I'm fully aware that the Lego group has commited some pretty heinous acts, but I don't know exactly what those evil doings would be. All I can think of is that Lego completely juniorized [by 1997] and destroyed [by 1999] Lego System Space [that (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) My goodness. Awfully negative! I mean, they created those things in the first place, yeah? (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Patrick Leahy
(...) but (...) Nonetheless, no one's happy that Space is cancelled. And, even if they created it in the first place, that knowledge still doesn't make anyone happier. They create Lego System Space, and, over the course of the next 20 years, slowly (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Matthew Miller
(...) Sure, but you make it sound like you think Lego is out clubbing baby seals or something! Why not: 1) have fun with the classic space sets you have 2) buy the Star Wars and Rock Raiders and Insectoids and whatever sets for their parts. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Patrick Leahy
(...) The new stuff is pathetic. It's too juniorized to be useful. Z (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Eric Kingsley
(...) I disagree with you on this one completely. What you made is a blanket statement and while much if not most of the new LEGO sets are juniorized they are not all juniorized. IMO the Star Wars sets are anything but juniorized. These sets are (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) last year, and it was weak. Just after posting that message, I saw some really useful parts on some SW sets, esp. the Sith Infiltrator. But, I'd never want a TIE viewport. Maybe I'll just get hold of a TIE Interceptor instead. But, I'll never (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Todd Lehman
(...) Speak for yourself. I've been a die-hard LEGO SYSTEM Space fan since before it was even called LEGOLAND Space, and I'm much happier with the LEGO Star Wars sets than the last 5 years of LEGO SYSTEM Space sets. --Todd (24 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: What all has TLC done? —Scott Edward Sanburn
(...) I agree with Todd. The SW sets are nice, even though I am not a huge fan of the SW universe. I am a lot happier with these sets than Insectoids, Rock Raiders, Exploriens, and to some extent UFO. (My roommate has made some awesome UFO models, (...)           Re: Sentimental Journey (Was Re: What all has TLC done?) —Scott Edward Sanburn
(...) Wait a second. I happen to own all the Exploriens, and I did / do like them. I think the uniforms are nice. I just don't think they are up to par with the more classic sets, I.E.        (...) This is one of the best "real" ships I think LC (TLC, TLG, LG, etc.) ever produced.            Re: Sentimental Journey (Was Re: What all has TLC done?) —Scott Edward Sanburn
(...) A bit, but I think we need to look at the history of the special purpose parts. Most of the earlier models had a few, which, IMO, were there to enhance the set.    I will have to agree with Z. I do love space theme. I do love SW but they are not lot option for me.
