I think it would work despite the nonabundance of gray 6X12 plates. There are
plenty of other ways for making a 12X12 gray plate area. We all have plenty of
4X4's, right? As long as the microbase is able to be picked up all as one solid
item (without its plate base* coming off in pieces), it should work just the
same.
