hey! first post on lugnet, i hope it won't be the last! anyways, i just wanted to share my new creation with you, the LEGO CNC-MACHINE. to avoid confusions, this is not a finished project, i'm starting to build it and will keep posting updates on my (...) wooooow you're the guy that built all those milling machines? and the lathe? first of all, respect! i loved the toast milling :D of course i checked out your site, it's pretty inspiring but i'm thinking of making some additions to the machine (...) (manually wouldn't be a problem) one possibility would be to slowly turn the spindle while the tool is being inserted so it finds the axlehole more (...) ok, now i understand what you mean. the problem is that this setup could be difficult for long axes, i guess the axle with the worm gears would flex too much... the motor in the movie is called a "power motor", you can read about it here: (URL) the large black one with red axleholes. i'll be using it as the spindle. i guess the gearing in my axes is still too fast for the cutter, if i have to redesign the (...)
