BricxCC now has preliminary but fully functional support for compiling and executing PC-based scripts to control your programmable brick (NXT, RCX, Spybot, whatever). Recently, I've bought WiiMote (Nintendo Wii Controller), which can be tethered to a regular PC via Bluetooth. Guys, Just retrieved my (dusted) RCX kit & a few spybots, when I move things around, unfortunately, my notebook does not have serial port any more. Moreover, the CD does not support XP either. I just gave my 12 year old daughter a RIS 1.0 (yep, an original one with the 1.0 RCX) set for her birthday. Okay, I got it working. Here's the short version of the problem: I installed the RCX 1.5 software on a WinXP machine with 1GB of memory. The installation went fine. Help! I installed the RCX 1.5 software on my WinXP machine. I got no errors during setup, but when I tried to run it I got an error saying it needs 3MB of virtual memory. Running with Win95 compatability settings didn't help. I looked around on the (...) (17 years ago, 3-Dec-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

You need purchase a copy from legoeducation.com, then download the latest 2.9.4 patch from legoengineering.com (unless legoeducation has already had the patch from their website). The 2.9.X is a gigantic improvement from 2.5. I still do not agree (...) (17 years ago, 20-Nov-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

the motor in the movie is called a "power motor", you can read about it here: (URL) the large black one with red axleholes. i'll be using it as the spindle. i guess the gearing in my axes is still too fast for the cutter, if i have to redesign the (...)
