How about a new axle extender? This one would be almost the same but with
no ribs on two opposite sides. This would allow a driving ring to slip
easily so that a micromotor could be used to actuate it (if you rotated the
driving ring 90 degrees you would still get the nice locking action...)

(23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
