Re: Code Pilot is Fantastic RCX add-on!

I've been promoting this set as the "perfect" RCX add-on since I got one last Christmas. The main truck model is waaaaaayyyyy cool and quite ingenious, almost worthy of Jennifer Clark (Hi, Jenn!). I haven't built all the alternate models, but the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You should not compare Win95 and its descendants to Windows NT and its descendants. Windows ME is approximately the seventh version of Win9x to be released (Windows 95 OSR 1, 2, and 3 (3 was basically a win98 beta), Windows 98 and 98 SE, and (...)   Re: Axle joiner angles

I suspect the crux of your answer lies in the 3-4-5 triangle. [NOT! read on to see why this isn't true!] The complements of 112.5 and 157.5 degrees are 67.5 and 22.5 degrees. The sum of 67.5 and 22.5 is 90 degrees. Add add a 90 degree angle and you (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

take a look at the cyber spider at www.wowwee.com it does a lot of what walker builders want to do and it's really cheap. $20.00 USD i picked up one this week and all i'm looking for right now is the special batteries that are needed for the remote.   Re: vision command idea...

okay, i guess i am not getting the proper idea across... i do not want a synchro-drive, i'm looking for a solution to the problem of having the back wheels turn opposite from the front wheels thus trimming the turing radius down. now, the drive (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Axle joiner angles

I was looking at the axle joiner thingies that let you connect two axles at an angle. The angles Lego have chosen to supply seem incredibly non-useful (apart from the obvious 180 and 90 degree ones). Each part also has a number on it. Here is a (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Code Pilot is Fantastic RCX add-on!

(...) Yes, I agree that this is an interesting function. I've used the same kind of mechanism in many of my own MOCs, as it allows for tighter turns without the friction you would get with a normal setup. While the CodePilot unit itself is fairly (...)   Code Pilot is Fantastic RCX add-on!

I bought a CodePilot last year when S@H had them on sale for $US100. The LEGO outlet store in Cookstown Ontario is rumored to have a few left.
