Thanks, it's a ton of work and a ton of tan. Am I goofy for
wishing there was a colder lighter tan? (Not the Belville
tan, btw...)
As for the ship name, I must point out that HMS Agamemnon is
a "she", yet has a clearly male-originated name. Considering
how much the German Admiral Staff idolized the Royal Navy,
I'd bet FdG was a "she" when named by English-speakers. The
noun "Schiff" is, however, neuter (just as in Dutch).

They're bad pictures because I don't have my tripod and I
have nasty arthritis. But the basic construction ought to
be clear!
BTW, "X" barbette is complete, and it's virtually round!
It's a handy idea for those who want to build big storage
tanks or supersize alcohol casks. ;) Water towers might
also profit from a variant of this.

I'm not sure how useful it is for building anythng smaller
than 16-wide, however. I wonder if I ought to tell the
Trainheads?

Not necessarily true, as the battle of Lepanto (1571) showed.
But then again, we'd like to think our engines are more reliable
than galley slaves. ;) (Although the Brazilian Chibata Revolt
of 1911 (IIRC) proved that one wrong, too.)

| Another fine evening of work. Look at it go! It's now officially too big to move into another room in one piece, now that it has a stern (but no fantail yet--darn this fitting-out process!): (URL) I'm definitely in the "I don't own enough LEGO" and (...)
