A late(and debut) entry:

Welcome aboard Steve, I'm from Sydney, but the Melbournites will post you and
get a Legofest happening !

Name: Steven Merlo
Gender: Male
Year of Birth: 1975
Mental Age/Status of Inner Child: About the same as my actual age

Good on you, most AFOL's like to think their mental age has to match the box.

Location: Melbourne

That makes 5 in Melbourne, at least !

E-mail Address: king_stevutz@yahoo.com
LEGO/home page URL(s):
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Occupation:  Currently working in Road Construction
On Lugnet Since: Now!

# of Sets in LEGO Collection: 200+?
# of Unopened Sets in Collection: None at all.
# of LEGO Pieces: A lot.
# of LEGO Theme Parks Visited: Does my bedroom count?

With 200+ sets it does, our bedroom is Lego-free (almost).

# of LEGO fests attended: None.

It will be one soon !

First LEGO Set: Set #674, bought for me while in Switzerland

LEGO Dark Age: Starting high school 1987

First Set after Dark Age: The RES-Q Hovercraft - not sure why.  I bought it on
a whim.

I got the RES-Q base ! Downhill from there.

Favorite Theme(s): RES-Q for returning me to lego.

Favorite Set(s): 6647 for sentimental reasons

Favorite Piece(s)/Minifigure(s): any see-through piece.

Yep, transparent pieces are great in any colour.

Set/theme you would like to see: Military themes - Air Force; Army; Navy. I
can't understand why these are yet to be produced. Kids(at least male ones)
love toy soldiers and surely any argument that LEGO teaches construction not
destruction is no longer valid with the abundance of weapons available in Star
Wars and Castle themes.

Aahhh ! Time and space distance softens the hardest blows.
I could never really get into recon model planes, the more weapons underwing,
the better (sorry, I better settle down).
It's inherent in most of us males to have plastic guns and swords (plastic!).
Check out the Ritvik Megabloks Battleship at TRU, if you want something grey
and floating, the bricks go together well.

Current LEGO Project: Earning enough money to buy more LEGO.

Greatest Claim to LEGO Fame: Not throwing away my LEGO when I considered
myself too old for it(what was I thinking?).

Wish, now that I could say that.

Other (Non-LEGO) Interests: Writing, playing, listening to music, Computer
games, Tabletop miniature wargames

LegOz 2000.3 happens on Sunday in Sydney,
BrikWars is happening, watch out for the pics, if you like Wargaming, this
is the Lego version.

(...) In my case it's true. Ask any of my friends (and family for that matter) what word(s) best describe me, and most of them will usually have "big kid" in the top five. My wife already claims she has a child, and doesn't want any more!! Pete (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.people)
