Hmm,  I'm calling BS here.  There is a river in Colorado with so much of a
certain kind of mineral content in it that the water is indeed blue.  And
the snow on the top: maybe its not snow! :P  Maybe its a limestone
deposit....

Ok, I was watching a show on the Canadian midwest provinces around Banff the
other day.  That water is blue, and an amazing one at that.  Now, if you wanna
argue the clear brick for water--go to Lake Tahoe.
