Okay, what about this:

Entering joint at 1, white tape is ONLY on the half of the pipe which has the
correct path 3.
We tape around 180 degrees of the pipe (ie, a C shape). This also allows the
robot to align itself with the joint to make the turn. (assuming you have a C
shaped robot)

(number 3) as it drives up the pipe, it reads the RED tape. so it should turn left to the # 2. so far easy. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
