Hi James (and everyone else!)
Yup, we're rtlToronto, the GTA and Southern Ontario Area's Lego Users Group.
We draw folks spanning from Niagara Falls to Ottawa, as one of the earliest
and most active LUGs in the world, alongside our sister groups MonLUG
(Montreal) and ParLUGment (Ottawa). Please take this (and other folks in
the area) as an invitation to come out!
The easiest way to get involved with rtlToronto is just to show up for
dinner at the Monthly Dinner we at Mel's a local greasy spoon. You can have
a cup of coffee or dinner, just come out and chat, hang out, show stuff off
etc. Pretty informal.
Maybe it's because we hide in our own little newsgroup and tend to be
activity oriented that we're less well known in the global Lugnet
community... rtlToronto tends to be very friendly, but more face to face.
People tend to be more known for what they've built at a show or competition
than what they post online, it's heavy on "being there".
rtlToronto is primarily Technic/Mindstorms and Train, though there are some
folks organizing BrickWars, and of course, lots of other Lego interests
including Pirates, Castle, Space, and (ick :) Paradisa. There's no real
membership or formal executive, it's basically me and Chris Magno running
the show for events and general administration.
As Richard says, check out the website, it always has the latest event info:

I hope to see you and others from Lugnet at our next dinner, if you can make it!
Calum
