You might try doing a LatchOn Venue-Driven Event Compliment (LOVDEC), where
the primary focus of say, rtl10 would be the robotics contest. Off in the
corner, under a curtain, behind closed doors is brickWarz.

I spoke to Calum about this once and he said it would be best to keep the
events separate… (Although it would be a great first step and help to
solidify interest into the game.)

P.S. I'd like to extend my apologies to Dave Koudys, Jeff Van Winden and you
Iain who were likely to partake in the game. But I figured that since you
Iain just wanted to watch the game would be too small (2 on 1) and too
unorganized.

Iain, that's what I was thinking....just a "small" game in the corner.
And I think Calum has a valid point that they should be seperate, but one or
two games at the beginning really shouldn't take too much space.

But then tonight, and thought about the whole thing, and I came up with
2 reasons not to have it at RTL 10 (in the corner).  Reason #1, Chris
booked the room, and most likely fronting most of the rental on the
room(s).  Reason #2, I think RTL 10 is going to need quite a bit of
space, space for audience, space for the playing area (which will need to be
larger due to the scope of the gantry robots), and also space for the
contestants so they can "tweak" their designs, etc.

But you are right, things have been a little hectic in general to do too
much.  I am behind in my studies due to being in New York, and am just about
caught up in my studies...I have one or two more things.

So find a date/time when you would like to reschedule, and hopefully we can
get things rolling.  I don't know about you, but (if) there is to be a
Canada Lego fest, I'd like to have completed at least 2 BrickWarz games
prior.

But, at this point, I think that has stalled (the whole lego fest idea).
Even though, I think it can still be pulled off, just not to the extent
that Brickfest was.
