Bingo. :) I have a ton of old 4.5 V track I can loan out if people want to do it that way, but the new 9V track looks a lot nicer (there are twice as many cross ties on the 9V track than the old 4.5V). (...) That's what I figured. Not having any of these motors, I cobbled it in LDRAW, and the clips in the model are too low. (...) Hahaha :) The advantages of using the monorail track are that it's very, very rigid laterally (like, it can really press into it without it deflecting at all) and simple to construct.
