Each work cell could be delegated out to an individual (some people could do more than one cell, if they’re ambitious). Each cell would have a function and we’d have to decide the assembly order of little rover, too.

And of course, before any of that begins, we have to nail down what the assembly pallet will be on top of the carrier, so then everyone can work on their own from there.

There’s a lot of prework for organizing: The carrier and the assembly pallet at minimum. Then deciding the building sequence.

Thankfully the building sequence is pretty top to bottom. One item (the minifigure) needs to assembled before his legs are folded and he’s seated on the car).

I think this would take a little bit more time than a day of work...but it would certainly make sense to have build-days to get people enthused and pumped up instead of staying cooped up all winter until a final day of integration.

The track will have to be either 4.5V track or the new 9V plastic non-electrified track.

Can I ask a dumb question? How do you guarantee the pallet and carrier stay stationary while a cell’s robot is trying to place something? Do you short the motor and hope? Extend a pin to keep it from moving?

Calum
