Re: My Entry -- Re: Project X and game play

(...) How about a Bridge Too Far. Going with the Scrap Heap Challenge theme, we could do bridging robots. Set a fixed distance between two tables, and an initial robot size that is smaller then the gap. Your robot must make it from one table to the (...)   SW minifigures

Anyone want some Star Wars minifigures? I have a number of them-R2D2, C3P0, Qui Gon Jinn, Jar Jar, and Obiwan.* If anyone would like them, I'll bring them to Friday's dinner. It'd be cool if you could bring in Town figures in trade, but even if not, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) 2x2, I think. I think Chris helped me chop them down to 24 inches each (eight feet). I drilled in three holes in each, making the spacing about 21-22 inches between each module. I bolted them in an offset fashion (one on each side on the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) :) I was thinking of that just last night..... I think I will need to do some module stacking (RTL 11???). Calum, did you use 1 x 2 peices of plywood to stack your modules?   Re: Project X and game play

(...) If the robot has to start off the board and end off the board, this ruins my feeble plan. I do have an idea to compinsate for this, but I'd like to know. Meanwhile, I'm scared. I'm not having fun learning NQC, and I want to go back to RCX1.0 (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Video on CD

I suppose this is directed at Calum, or possibly Iian: Will the train videos in particular (and to a lesser extent, the robotics events videos) be available on CD (for those of us tortured souls with dial-up access)? There was some talk of this a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

I'm good with that. The roof beams in my train station are exactly 15 blocks from baseplate to bottom of the beam. So if there is a problem with your construction there will be a problem with mine.
