  Re: personal challange

(...) No Problem. You should check out Dave Baums books on NQC. I have them, and I would be a much better programmer if I had worked through all of the examples. But, I haven't found much time for that. I always spend more time on mechanical (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

I only mention it because Iain was so desperate to use it, and at the dinner after rtl9 I recall Chris, after much persuasion said he could. I believe in the end we decided as a group it was ok, for this contest only. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

(...) Well, here's the question of the week: Should something like monofilament/fishing line be allowed? We've always said basic rubber bands and cotton string that approximates Lego string and rubber bands would be perfectly fine. But fishing line (...)   Re: Encounter @ COSTCO

(...) Nope, neither one of those. Since Tim hasn't officially announced the 3 new sets I won't list them here, but if you go the the fbtb link listed above and then go into the HP forum you will see that Tim has basically let the cat out of the bag.   Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

(...) It appears string is missing as a legal non-Lego element in the rules. :-) Derek (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

(...) Actually, yes, it's a legal solution, but effective? I'd have to work the stats out on it :) Calum (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Encounter @ COSTCO

(...) Well, Tim alludes to a few more upcomin’ Potter sets. (URL) Potter Sets 10.21.01 Tim Three more sets will be coming, possibly as soon as January of next year. More details soon. --- So you may just be receiving those very stes!!!!!!!! Oh, and (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Encounter @ COSTCO

(...) I think the HP Hogwarts Castle has a lot of great pieces, its stunningly beautiful, and coincidently is the same price as Leo's Castle.... ???? Anyways...I will probably end up buying the HP kit...and buy a couple HP sets also...like a few (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Encounter @ COSTCO

Encounter @ COSTCO Today while shopping at COSTCO on Woodbine I encountered an individual who I believe to be Jin Sato. It just so happens that we were both looking at the New (URL) Harry Potter Castle right next to each other. It was only $99.99 (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: personal challange

(...) ROB, you are the best.!!!!!! this bit of documentation was all the answer i needed. thank you!!! its a shame that you have to use a constant to assign the array. :( BUt this is better than nothing. I guess i have to start to learn NQC (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: personal challange

(...) Dave, after i saw Rob's window robot, I new i had to do the same kind of thing using JUSt lego. so i ordered 4 parts pack (each with 1 gun) lego was late in delivering (by 3 weeks) so i called and said I never got the order. a week latter i (...)   Bule 1x3 inverted slope?

Does anyone know of any sets that are currently available that contain blue 1x3 inverted slopes? I've only been able to find one set that has them, the creator bucket, but I haven't seen it for sale anywhere. I need four of these, but wouldn't mind (...)   Re: rtlToronto10 Tentative Rules Preview

Hey... could i just build something that shakes the game board for a long time? Probability dictates that eventually, i will come up with the right pattern... or maybe i could get an infinite number of monkeys (from rtl9) on an infinite number of (...)   Re: personal challange

(...) Once again my appreciation for Rob goes up a notch. I actually understood mostof what he said :) I was thinking, originally, about getting a 4x4 black plate, and 16 1x1 round white plates (headlights), putting the pattern of white 'dots' on (...)   Re: Where to find Zellers Blue Tubs?

Cool, email works. This makes life much easier for me, although I still have to authenticate the post. I guess its possible to fake the origins of an email. Derek (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Where to find Zellers Blue Tubs?

Trying to reply by email to see what happens. Anyway, the day after rtl9 I went to every Toronto Zellars East of Yonge St. and only found 3 1200 piece buckets. Which I got for myself. I'd love to get about 10 more. Unfortunately I think 1200 piece (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Legends Club Car comments

(...) Actually, I haven't really purchased all that much at all-hunting for cool sets has really become hard these last years. I'm not the type (either it's character or capital, I'm not sure) to go around buying multiple copies of any set, except (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: personal challange

(...) Chris, I'm not sure why NQC would offer arrays and the scripting language wouldn't. I am certainly not the resident programming expert:) Anyway, I can send you some code when I get home. I copied the following directly from the NQC (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Legends Club Car comments

(...) Ah, so you are the person who got the last to be had. I went about in early 97, and got one of 3 of the OCTAN tank cars, and saw a half pack of 4.5V points at The Bay downtown, a monorail in the Eaton's Center (at the downstairs toy store, I (...)
