Media News: Man Dies from Playing Video Games
01:18:  Yes, you read correctly. A South Korean man has actually died from too
much of a good thing.  The man died of stress-related problems brought on from
a 17-hour marathon session of the game One Thousand Years (which is kind of
ironic, considering that he was playing this game almost as long). He went
sleep-deprived and malnourished within the last few months of his life.

Well, duh. All LEGO maniacs beware, especially if the bricks start look
appetizing! :)

The most I have ever played a game was Blaster Master /Master Blaster?
for the NES - I think it was 7 hours, ugh!

Lately Team Fortress Classic has been eating my hours again--my longest marathon since Legend
of Zelda (way back when...) has been five hours.  Strategy PC-game sessions have been
longer--I remember over a holiday break, some friends and I played Lords of the Realm for two
days, no sleep.  Granted, this pales in comparison to some marathon tabletop gaming sessions,
but it's still hard on the eyes.  :)

best

Lindsay

I remember when I got Pitfall; my mom thought I was going to get brain damage from playing it for 20 hours straight. *smirk* -Cheese (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
