Where do paper clips go after they are used?
I am putting together a package for a production run and have used nearly a
full box of paper clips as well as countless binder clips. As my mind began
to wander, I wondered, "Where do paper clips go after they are used?"
I have never found a growing stack on my desk, nor in my desk drawer. In
fact, I can never seem to find one when I need one.
I do not know of a company who doesn't need to order paper clips on a
regular basis. It's always when I have none at my desk that the supply
cabinet is empty.
Is there a particular company which finds itself constantly swamped with
incoming paper clips?
Is one person saving them all to make the worlds longest paper clip chain?
Do they run off with the missing socks from my dryer?
Are they slowly gathering to take over the world?
Is it a conspiracy concocted by the paper clip industry to keep demand high?
Is McGyver using them for temporary fuses in his Jeep?
If you have any answers, please respond immediately, as it may be a matter
of national security.
