I woner if they mean the4 games are developed under linux, or that
there will be a Linux port. If the latter, well, I think I might

Hmm. So Q4/2000 or Q1/2001 before it hits here, I suppose. By that
time, P-III will be on... I wanted to say crack, but I meant 800-1000
MHz. Merced will be out at somewhere between the 600 MHz & 1 gig mark.
Possibly a Voodoo-III 3500 SLI, or even a next generation. I somehow
doubt that even 128 bit 300 MHz CPU can compete with that. I _know_ a
150 MHz 128 bit GPU can't compete with dual 128 bit 183 MHz Voodoo
III's (of which the single version is out either now or very soon),
and actually, Riva TNT2 SLI which should be out long before the end of
the year beats single Voodoo III 3500. The console is no longer the
cutting edge of gaming, as it used to be.
I don't know if that's bad or not. I think it's not. ;)

| (...) Actually, I think this point is still up for contention over at Sony, because Sony doesn't want to drop the prices on all of its DVD[-only] machines. I'm guessing they'll still go through with it (making PSX2 do DVD), because DVD just isn't (...) (26 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
