Re: George Bush has legitimised terrorism

(...) Ummmmm, are these comments directed at me or as a general statement? To answer it as a general statement, it is a religious (or cultutal) thing, not a racist thing. Generally speaking, religious fanatics don't want to be free, or at least (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

(...) That's something of a simplistic statement. The problem lies in that monopolistic businesses that control something that is in the vital interest of everyone in the entire state showed an apalling lack of foresight, with the bottom line of (...)   Re: gay by birth vs. gay by choice

(...) A number of people duplicated the results by following the same method as the original claimants - but basically those were non-critical attempts (the methods themselves were not initially questioned). (...) Assuming you meant "funding", well, politicians make lots of noises about that but invariably don't bite the hand they feed themselves with. It's pretty much legalized bribery as long as you jump through the right hoops. It's really up to the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

If you wish to quote or paraphrase the parts you think are salient or you agree with (or disagree with), I can have a discussion about that with you, but (...)   Danish cartoons outrage some Moslem groups and nations

Hey all, Have you guys seen (URL) this story>? A Danish newspaper printed several cartoons of Mohammed last September and this has led to complaints to the UN, death threats, and boycotts of Danish goods in some Arab nations (which is how I first (...)
